Charles (II) Plumerel
PLUMEREL, Charles (II) Worked circa. 1822-1864 Angers France. Thought to be the grandson of Jean Plumerel, below. Established at 4 rue Baudrière. One instrument cited by Vannes is signed and dated 1864 from Dunquerque. Described by Poidras as ordinary work. Vannes is more enthusiastic about professional work with antiqued finish. Henley follows Vannes, and compares the work to that of Vuillaume. Par Charles Plumerel, Luthier / rue Baudrière No. 4 Angers, 1836 / Magazin de toutes sortes d'instruments de musique.
