John Dilworth

RÁCZ, Loránd Born 1913 Budapest Hungary, died 1989 The Hague Netherlands. Worked in the Hague for J. Vedral and L. Krumbholz, succeeding to his business in 1942. Awarded diploma of honour at The Hague 1949. Chairman of the NGV (Netherlands Violin Makers Association) 1975-1987. Retired 1980. Master restorer and connoisseur. Stradivari and Guarneri models. Good transparent red or brown varnish. Instruments made by an employee are stamped internally. Later work fully labelled. [NGV]
