RAU, Johann Friedrich Born 1820, died 1902 Nuremberg Germany. Active in Nuremberg c.1848-1896. Credited with 160 violins, 50 violas, 40 cellos, and 15 double basses. Classical models; Italian and Tyrolean. Fine work. Johann Friedrich Rau / Geigenmacher in Nürnberg, Anno 1882.
