Henri Poidras
Maker of viols. There is a legend to the effect that Andrea Amati supplied Charles IX. King of France, with a number of instruments, marked with the royal arms, for his private chapel. According to Fetis, Amati delivered them in person and was in all probability helped by Nicolas Renault, a worthy maker.
