Gunther Reuter

Gunther Reuter (1934–2013) was a German-American violin and cello maker. Trained at the Mittenwald School in Germany, he earned his master’s certification in 1958 and later worked in Chicago at Fritz Reuter & Sons. His instruments are noted for their tonal richness and craftsmanship, particularly his cellos. Reuter retired to South Carolina and passed away in 2013.
