John Dilworth
RICKER, Joseph F. Born 1873 Austria, Worked from 1900 Columbus, Ohio, USA. Violin and bow maker. Emigrated to the USA 1881. Pupil of Charles Held and Stephen Allison 1893-1898. First violin completed 1896. Established independently in Columbus, Ohio 1900-1950. Assisted by his son John J. from 1932. About 75 violins and cellos with orange and red oil varnish.
