John Dilworth

Dominicus Born 1759, died 1814. Son and pupil of Matthäus Rief, below. Generally recognised as the best maker of the family. Very fine and accurate craftsmanship. Distinctive but well-proportioned personal model with long ‘c’ bouts and outward-pointing corners. Moderately high arch. Often quite plain materials and dark thin intransparent varnish.
