John Dilworth

RODIER Brothers (Joseph E., Albert W., & M. Anthony) Worked circa. 1910-1954 Kansas City, Missouri USA. Born in Canada. Active in Kansas City from c.1910. Their shop was operated as a violin making school from 1948 with Government help for retraining veteran soldiers. Produced large numbers of violins, violas, cellos, basses, and guitars; estimated at a total of 3,000 instruments. Guarneri-derived model and some copies of individual instruments. Shaded orange oil varnish of their own formulation. Canadian woods.
