John Dilworth

ROVATTI, Luigi. Born 1861 Genoa Italy, died 1931 Buenos Aires Argentina Pupil of Giuseppe and Enrico Rocca. Established in Buenos Aires from 1885. Prolific maker: 1,000 instruments including violins, violas, cellos, and guitars. Generally good work on the Rocca model. After 1900 branded: ‘Luigi Rovatti Fabricanti’. Printed label: Luigi Rovatti / Fece in Buenos Aires
