Life
Christopher Rowe is an English violin maker. He trained at the Newark School of Violin Making and worked in the workshops of J&A Beare in London before establishing his own practice. Rowe is known for making violins, violas, and cellos, and for restoration work on historic instruments. He served as Master of the Worshipful Company of Musicians and has been active in violin-making education and professional organisations in the United Kingdom.
His instruments have been played by professional musicians internationally, and he has received awards in violin-making competitions, including recognition from the Violin Society of America.
