SAUKE, Julius J. C. Born circa. 1800 Rosche, died 1856 Hamburg Germany. Apprenticed as a cabinet maker. Worked for F. Cellier in Hamburg. Copies of Stradivari. Good standard, with golden-brown or pale golden yellow varnish. Several cellos recorded. J. Sauke / Instrumentenmacher / Hamburg 1845
