SCHÖDLER, Simon Worked circa. 1730, died 1793 Passau Germany. Luthier to the court of Passau. Coarse work in the Hornsteiner manner. High-arched with deep edge channel. Thin almost black opaque varnish. Hamma also shows a fine baryton with carved head. Five-course lute at the Claudius Musem, Copenhagen. Simon Schödler, hochfurstl.
