Johann Georg (II) Born 1750, died 1824. Master of the violin makers guild 1769. Very fine Stainer copies. Accurate craftsmanship with golden yellow varnish. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Er wurde 1769 Meister und war seit 1810 Stadtvogt. Einer der besten Geigenmacher aus seiner Familie; er hatte ein grosses Modell und im Gegensatz zu vielen Vogtländern einen mehr gelben als braunen Lack. Ausser seinem Zettel, auf dem Cremona als Ursprungsort angegeben erscheint, verwendete er auch die Brandmarke *I*G*S*. Er wurde 74 Jahre und 12 Tage alt.
