Simpson, musical instrument makers at the Bass-Viol and Flute in Sweeting’s Alley, opposite the East door of the Royal Exchange, London.” The following label probably belongs to the son: “John Simpson, musical instrument maker, at the Bass Viol and Flute, in Sweeting’s Alley, opposite the East door of the Royal Exchange, London.”
