STELLUTO, Lorenzo Born 1886 Vico del Gargano, died 1947 Bari Italy. Pupil of S. Scarampella in Mantua from 1920. Stradivari derived models. Made a large contro-violino which he called ‘Mussolini’ owing to its exaggerated grossness. [Henley, Nicolini]
