John Dilworth+
TUBBS, William Born 1814, died 1878 London UK. Son and pupil of Thomas Tubbs, above. Also trained with James and Edward Dodd (II), and successor to the latter in 1851. Found at several addresses in Lambeth and Soho: Crescent Street Euston 1841, 19 and later 41 Princes Street Soho 1850, 45 Rupert Street 1857, and finally at 1 Rupert Court from 1863. Assisted at various times by five of his sons. Prolific if inconsistent work found with the brands of various dealers. [BVMA]
