John Dilworth
VACCARI, Raffaele Born 1908, Worked from 1926 Lentigione, Regio Emilia Italy. Pupil of C. G. Sgarabotto. Assistant to A. Simonazzi. Established independently in Lentigione, near Parma, from 1926. Diploma and medal awarded at Cremona 1949. Fine work on all classical Cremonese models and a personal pattern. Both oil and spirit varnishes with orange or red colouration. Completed about 60 violins and 10 violas. Raphaƫl Vaccari Lentigionensis / Cajetani Sgarabotto alumnus / Parmae. Fecit Anno 19..
