John Dilworth
VARAGNOLO, Ferruccio Born 1880 Ogna, Padua Italy, died 1916 Paris France. Pupil of L. Bisiach in Milan. Later worked in Paris. Rather inconsistent work on classical models. Fine materials and dark red varnish. High arch with deep edge channelling. Scroll not concentric. Vannes, however, considers him ‘un véritable artiste’. Died in an asylum.
