WOJTYSZYN, Gregory Born 1919 Lviv Ukraine, d. after 1972 Denver, Colorado USA. Pupil of A. Koscielecki in Lviv. Active in Ukraine from c.1935. Emigrated to the USA 1966, working initially for William Moennig in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Established independently in Denver, Colorado from 1972. About 35 instruments completed, mostly in his Ukrainian period. Guarneri model. Red-brown spirit varnish. [Wenberg]
