WOODWARD, C. F. Worked circa. 1946 Woodford, Kettering UK. Self-taught maker, using the Stradivari 1715 ‘Alard’ violin as model. About nine completed. Also nine violas on Tertis model, and one cello. Local maple and sycamore used for backs, own oil varnish. [Woodcock]
