YURKEVITCH, Mischa (Michael) Born 1900 Sebastopol Ukraine, Worked from 1933 New York USA. Studied under Willi Paul Goetz in Markneukirchen c.1915-1918. Worked in Berlin for Emil Herrmann before emigrating to the USA to work for the New York branch. Established independently there in 1933 in Carnegie Hall. First prizes at New York competition 1941. Cremonese models. Some replicas of individual master instruments. Oil and spirit varnish of own formula.
