ZIMMERMANN, Ulrich Walter Born 1934 Bern Switzerland. Graduate of the Brienz School of Violin Making, and later its director 1974-1996. Studied under A. König and later worked for A. Dolmetsch in Haslemere and D. Kessler in London. Also employed by F. Baumgartner in Basle and established independently in Berne from 1959, until he took over the violin making school in 1974.
