John Dilworth
BIRD, Richmond Henry Born 1869 Walsall, Worked Wolverhampton & Liverpool UK. Worked in Wolverhampton until 1914. Subsequently chief workman for Rushworth and Dreaper in Liverpool. Imitated classical work very impressively. Various appropriate shades of varnish, very clean and accurate finish. All instruments made by him and under his supervision for Rushworth and Dreaper labelled: ‘The Ardeton’. Label used prior to 1914: Richmond H. Bird / 81 Raleigh Rd. / No. 50. Wolverhampton March 1913
