Jules Camille (Gabriel) Boulangeot

Brussels, Mirecourt

Jules Camille Gabriel Boulangeot (1870–1943) was a French-born violin maker who also worked in Brussels, Belgium, in addition to his activity in Lyon. Trained in Mirecourt with Justin Derazey and later employed by Collin-Mézin, he went on to establish his own reputation as an independent maker. His instruments—violins, violas, and cellos—reflect the French tradition but also carry influences from his years working in Brussels, and they remain respected for their tonal quality and craftsmanship.
