    BUCHER, Johann Born 1792 Hammerschwang,Württemberg Germany, died 1856 Vienna Austria. Worked for Stauffer at Vienna. Established own workshop there in 1816 at 59 St Ulrich Rofranogasse. Inventor of the ‘Moschin’ guitars. Principally a guitar maker, but a few violins extant with his label. Johann Bucher / Geigen u. Guitarrmacher in Wien / St. Ulrich Rofranogasse No. 59.
