John Dilworth
DUWAER, Herman Gerard Born 1842, died 1909 Utrecht Netherlands Son of Pieter Duwaer, piano maker. Started life as a cabinet maker; registered as a violin maker from 1883. Stradivarian modelling. Worked initially on Lange Lauwerstraat, Utrecht, later moving to Teelingstraat, and finally Oudherhof. Not a very refined maker, but showing a strong individuality.
