John Dilworth
Christian Samuel Born 1766, died 1819. Admitted to the violin maker’s guild 1791. Fairly clean and professional work, but on a rather ugly Stainer-inspired model. Detail work quite meanly done. Thin clear yellow-brown varnish. Branded internally: ‘C. S. F.’. Printed label: *C*S*Ficker* / *18*..* [Hamma]
