John Dilworth

FREBRUNET, Jean Baptiste Born 1713 Mirecourt, Worked circa. 1740-1776 Bordeaux & Paris France. According to Henley, following Lütgendorff, this is fine work of the ‘vieux Paris’ school, on an Amatisé model with coarsely-cut scroll and red-brown varnish. Some instruments branded on back with fleur de lys. Vannes states that this is the same individual as Jean Frebinet, above, although the facsimile label in Lütgendorff appears to read ‘Frebrunet’. Joannes / Frébrunet / 1760
