Frederic Boyer
Paris
Frédéric Boyer (1926–2005) was a French violin and viola maker trained in Mirecourt and Paris under the Millant family and Charles Enel. He later took over Enel’s Paris workshop, producing more than 200 violas, 50 violins, and a few cellos, often inspired by Italian masters. Known for his spontaneous, non-commissioned approach, he became especially respected for his violas before passing the workshop to his son Serge.
