Karl Albert (II) Nurnberger
Markneukirchen, b. 1906
Karl Albert Nürnberger, son of Carl Albert, is the generation most often dropped out of the family’s story altogether, including by dealers who ought to know better. Several published accounts of the family skip from his father straight to his successor.

Life
He worked through the hardest years the Markneukirchen trade has known: the loss of the export markets, the war, and then the absorption of the family firm into the East German state. PGH Sinfonia was set up in 1961 and the larger bow making workshops were pressed to join it; in 1972 it became the state enterprise VEB Sinfonia. Bows continued to leave under the family stamp throughout, which is a large part of why that stamp cannot be read as the signature of any one hand.
He stands between Carl Albert and Christian Albert, who re-established the family workshop in Markneukirchen after reunification.
