    Justin Poirson (1851-1925) was a French bow maker born in Mirecourt. He trained under Maire and gained experience working for notable firms such as J. B. Vuillaume and Gand and Bernardel before establishing his own workshop in 1880. His bows, branded "POIRSON A PARIS", are considered good but unremarkable.

    Justin Poirson (1851-1925) was born in Mirecourt in 1851 and died in Paris, France, in 1925. He was a pupil of Maire from 1865. Poirson subsequently worked for J. B. Vuillaume and for Gand and Bernardel before establishing himself independently in 1880. He was murdered in his very diminished lodgings in 1925.
