Biographies
John Dilworth
AUBRY, Joseph Born 1873 Mirecourt, died 1926 Le Havre France. Apprenticed as a cabinet maker. Took up violin making in 1892. Awarded prizes in Paris 1921 and Metz 1922. Moved to Le Havre 1926, in rue A. Briand, later transferring to rue Jules Siegfried. Very distinguished work after Stradivari, Guarneri, or other Italian masters. Manuscript label: J H Aubry.
