BRIGGS, Henry Worked circa. 1899-1949 Glasgow, Scotland UK. Son, pupil, and assistant of James Briggs, below. Trained in Markneukirchen before joining his father’s business in 1899. Chiefly occupied there as scroll carver; later turned to harp-making. Took over the business in 1935, which he continued in partnership with Philip Schreiber until 1949, when they moved to smaller offices above Cuthbertson’s piano showrooms in Glasgow. [Rattray]
