Emmanuel Carlier

Emmanuel Carlier is a contemporary French bow maker based in Paris. He began his apprenticeship in 2005 with Gilles Duhaut and later worked with Pierre Guillaume at Maison Bernard in Brussels. Known for his refined craftsmanship and deep appreciation of antique bows, Carlier has won multiple international awards—including seven gold medals from the Violin Society of America and the “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” title in 2019.
