Listed at several addresses in Edinburgh: Burnet’s Close 1786, Toddrick’s Wynd from 1788, Chalmer’s Close from 1799, and Shakespeare Square from 1805. His final move was in 1825 to High Terrace, Leith. Good honest work on Amatisé or Stainer model, the scroll with an extra half-turn behind the eye. Fine red-brown varnish. No label. Signed on the interior. Occasionally branded below the back button: ‘Dewar’
