Life
Born in Mirecourt, both worked in Paris and were strongly associated with the workshop of J. B. Vuillaume. Dominique later took over François Lupot’s Paris workshop and became renowned for powerful, finely balanced bows influenced by Tourte and Persoit. François established his own successful workshop in Mirecourt and produced bows strongly influenced by his brother. Their work is highly regarded in the French bow-making tradition
