Francesco & Giuseppe Guadagnini

Francesco Guadagnini (1863–1948) and his brother Giuseppe II Guadagnini (1866–c.1903) were Italian violin makers active in Turin and members of the distinguished Guadagnini dynasty. They inherited their father Antonio’s workshop in 1881 and worked together during the early part of Francesco’s career, producing violins, guitars, and other stringed instruments. The brothers exhibited internationally, winning a silver medal at the 1884 Turin Exhibition. Francesco later became the more prominent maker and the last major violin maker of the Guadagnini family.
