John Dilworth
JAIS, Johann (III) Born 1752, Worked circa. 1775 Mittenwald Germany. Son of Franz Jais, above. Stradivari influenced model in the Tyrolean style; plain materials with red-brown varnish. Very broad purfling; craftsmanship a little heavy.
