LANGONET, Alfred Charles Born 1917 London, died 1973 Rottingdean, Sussex UK. Son and pupil of Charles Frank Langonet, below. Employed in the workshop of W. E. Hill & Sons c.1933-1939. After military service with the R.A.F., established with his father in London from 1945. Excellent restorer, craftsman, and connoisseur. Silver medal at Stradivari's Commemoration Exposition, Cremona 1949, and awards at the Hague 1949 and Liège 1954. Winner of British Violin Makers' Exhibition 1952.
