Amati Mangenot

Amati Mangenot, born in Mirecourt in 1901, was a French luthier known for his classical Cremonese models and fine workmanship. He trained with his father, Paul Alexandre Mangenot, and Laurent in Brussels, establishing his own workshop in Clermont-Ferrand before moving to Bordeaux in 1925.

Life
Amati Mangenot (b. 1901) was born in 1901 in Mirecourt, France. He was the son and pupil of Paul Alexandre Mangenot. Amati Mangenot also received training from Laurent in Brussels. He established himself independently in Clermont-Ferrand in 1922 and subsequently moved to Bordeaux in 1925, where he worked from that year.
