Established in Aberdeen 1893-1899. Subsequently moved to Australia, New Zealand, and Tasmania, before settling in Johannesburg, South Africa 1924, working as a repairer, restorer, and maker. Author of a pamphlet entitled The Secret of Italian tone. Classical models. Fine materials and good red and brown varnishes. Violins made in Scotland are not labelled.
