Herbert Moritz Born 1909 Markneukirchen. Pupil of K. A. Guetter 1924-1927. Later worked for M. Otto, then with Alois Sandner manufacturing fittings. Made Master of the luthiers guild 1936. Employed by Meyer Heide in Friedrichsfelde, K. Niedt in Würzburg, and finally established as senior repairer for J. Jehle in Ebingen. Very little known work under his own label; all instruments sold through his various employers. Classical models with both oil and spirit varnish in appropriate shades.
