John Dilworth
Franz Albert (II) Born 1854, died 1933. Son and pupil of Franz Albert Nürnberger (I) above. Considered one of the finest German bow makers. Tourte, Voirin, and Tubbs models. Many exported and sold in America by Wurlitzer. Supplied work to Weichold and Hammig. Also introduced the firm’s own brand with a lighter general feel and longer more elegant head than those of his grandfather. First-rate concert bows used by many soloists. Awarded many diplomas and medals at competitions. Prolific maker. Brand: ALBERT NURNBERGER
