PAULSEN, Carl A. Born 1879 Aalborg Denmark, Worked circa. 1904-1923 Chicago, Illinois & Detroit, Michigan USA. Son and pupil of P. C. Paulsen, below, in Chicago. Subsequently employed by Lyon & Healy and by Gustave Ferron 1904-1915. Established independently in Detroit, later working with his father in Manistee 1919. Returned to Detroit in 1923 to work for A. Irving Tallis at the Capitol Violin Shop. Stradivari model with shaded red varnish. Small production. Fine workmanship.
