John Dilworth

SIEGA, Ettore Born 1890, died 1930 Venice Italy. Pupil of E. Degani and G. Schwarz. Awarded several gold medals. Degani-derived model, sometimes a little mannered in his style. Sharply emphasised fluting all around the outer edge of the soundhole. Rather boxy arching and wide purfling. Scroll rather weak. Deep glossy red-brown varnish; well finished.
