Pupil of E. Degani and G. Schwarz. Awarded several gold medals. Degani-derived model, sometimes a little mannered in his style. Sharply emphasised fluting all around the outer edge of the soundhole. Rather boxy arching and wide purfling. Scroll rather weak. — John Dilworth
