Very undisciplined work. Loose, asymmetrical outline with deeply incurving ‘c’ bouts. Medium to low arch, broad edge with prominent corners, and long low-set and sloping soundholes. Neatly turned scroll with large eye. Red-brown varnish of good quality but thin textured. — John Dilworth
