John Dilworth
WILSON, James L. Born 1847 Galston, Worked circa. 1889-1910 Greenock, Scotland UK. Pupil of J. Mann in Glasgow, with A. Morrison. Established independently in Greenock from 1889. Fine professional work on Guarneri models. One example of 1907 cited by Rattray with eccentricities in the head carving, in the manner of Degani. Henley also cites Stradivari and Maggini copies.
