ZSIGA, László Born 1914 Foktö, Bács-Kiskun, died 1955 Budapest Hungary. Son of violin dealer and repairer Lajos Zsiga. Studied with D. Bárány, M. Frirsz, and I. Havas. Left violin making briefly, but returned in 1954 working with P. Sáránsky, M. Frirsz, and J. Mészáros. Established independently from 1954, but died the following year. Workshop continued by his widow under the direction of Sáránsky and later Mészáros, whom she married. Good professional work on Stradivari and Guarneri models. Oil varnished, red-orange colour.
