A fair figure both sides can trust

When a couple separate, a fine instrument can be one of the more awkward assets to put a value on. It may have been bought years ago, the label may say something hopeful, and each side often has a very different number in mind.

We give a clear, independent opinion of what the instrument would fetch at auction today. We can explain our reasons to both parties and their solicitors.

What we provide

  • A free first opinion with no obligation.
  • A formal written valuation for the settlement, when one is needed. We tell you the fee before we start.
  • An open auction sale if a sale is agreed or ordered. Every bid is public, which makes the result easy for both sides to accept.

Auction value and insurance value are different

An insurance valuation is what it would cost to replace the instrument from a shop. An auction value is what it would fetch if sold today. The two can be far apart. For a settlement you usually need the auction, or open-market, figure. We can explain the difference in plain terms. More about insurance valuations.
